I have over 20 years experience as a psychotherapist in the Atlanta area and have been honored to work with many on a healing journey that includes work with trauma survivors and post traumatic stress, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, compulsive disorders and relationship issues. My work with with clients who have issues with chronic disorganization and hoarding began over 5 years ago. I work closely with the professional organizer, when one is involved, in order to coordinate treatment with progress toward healthy changes and behaviors. Often this work includes family members. Getting to emotional and core issues helps create more permanent, positive change. My philosophy has grown out of my training and experiences with my clients and draws from many traditions including cognitive behavioral, object relations and attachment, family systems, psychodynamic and humanistic approaches. I believe healing and transformation occurs in the context of respectful relationship and my role, in part, is to help my clients explore their inner world toward understanding, bringing about empowerment, peace and a more conscious life and decisions.
